With our action we reaffirm the fight against the authority of the Catholic Church, an institution whose organisms and representatives have historically exercised repression over bodies, the imposition of roles, the manipulation of minds and the spiritual monopoly that castrates the liberty of individuals.
Accomplices of massacre, persecution and genocides throughout world history, the Catholic Church and its Papacy are a pillar of civilized dominance and of colonialism in the territory called ‘Latin America’.
The Apostolistic Movement of Schoenstatt, founded in Germany in 1941 by the priest Joseph Kentenich, who personally established the movement in Chile in 1949, is without doubt an important enclave and point of reference for the conservative Chilean business elite.
Through their network of schools, the Schoenstatt Fathers educate more than 6000 boys and girls in Chile with a value matrix that represses sexual freedom, condemns abortion and strongly defends the hegemony of the institution-contract of hetrosexual marriage.
Linked to this movement we find a series of despicable characters such as the priest Raúl Hasbún, moral defender and politician of the dictatorship; the parliamentarian José Antonio Kast, defender of the dictatorship and its torturers, businessman and ex-presidential candidate of fascist tendency; the entrepreneur Agustín Edwards, owner of the right-wing newspaper ‘El Mercurio’, who prayed in the Sanctuary of Schoenstatt when a guerrilla group (FPMR) kidnapped their son in the early 90s; the businessman Felipe Matta Navarro, personal friend of President Piñera and linked to the AFP pension fund business; as well as the priests Rodrigo Gajardo, notorious pedophile, and Francisco José Cox Huneeus, accused of sexually abusing children, who today lives in a monastery.
