Germany: Higher Administrative Court Bans #NoG20 Protest Camp: Activists Will Appeal

The higher administrative court of Hamburg banned the NoG20 protest camp yesterday. Activists will appeal against the decision at the German Bundeverfassungsgericht (Federal Constitutional Court). Yesterday, a water fight with about 250 people participating took place in Hamburg. On thursday cops arrested two people in Hamburg. We are here No G 20 demo started.

On Wednesday the administrative court of Hamburg ruled that the ban of a No G20 protest camp in Stadtpark in Hamburg is inadmissible, but police authorities appealed. On Friday the higher administrative court of Hamburg banned the protest camp again. Activists will appeal against the decision at the German Bundeverfassungsgericht (Federal Constitutional Court) but also announced that they will take several squares if they will lose the appeal at the Bundeverfassungsgericht and have no permission to camp at the Stadtpark in Hamburg.

More and more cops are arriving in Hamburg. Yesterday there was a NoG20 waterfight. About 250 people participated under heavy police presence including several water canons, armoured vehicles and cops on horses (Images below). Due to the warm weather many kids participted in the water fight and the riot cops with all their equipment created a bizarre scenery.

Car hire company Sixt is providing limousines for the official G20 delegations. The limousines have already arrived and are parked in Baaker harbour now (images below). The car hire company has branches all over the world and it might have caused some sleepless hours for the management of Sixt that activists now know which company supllies the car for the G20 delegations in Hamburg.

On Thursday 2 people were arrested in Hamburg. Large parts of German mainstream media once again written off and publish the police pressrealease about the arrests. According to the cops the two men came from Berlin and were known as “endangerer”. In their press release the cops write that both men were sitting in a parked car for “no reason”. A judge released both men as there was no legal possibility to keep them in pre-trial detention. German tabloids are intensifying their propaganda campaign reporting about the arrests with titles like “Police prevents terror attack”.

The “we are here” demo of refugees and supporters started in Hamburg this afternoon. Hundreds are taking part and there are still people coming (images below).

In Bern (Switzerland), local authorities are demanding that the word “smash” and a painted molotov cocktail are over coated (image below) until Monday June 26th.
