On Saturday 21st October a Forza Nuova fascists’ stall was challenged twice in the space of an hour in one of Trento’s central streets. It was destroyed and put out of use. As usual police were already on the spot to secure the fascists’ propaganda initiative. For this reason five antifascists were arrested, among whom three comrades of ours; one was released a few hours later while the others will face a summary trial tomorrow in Trento. Following the arrests dozens of comrades gathered and marched through the streets of Trento; they blocked part of the traffic for a while as they explained the afternoon’s action with graffiti and speeches.
Forza Nuova fascists are trying to gain ground for action in the Trentino region and everywhere else in Italy. As ‘welcome’ structures for refugees were set on fire in Soraga, Lavarone and Roncone, with Forza Nuova’s public endorsement, it is a necessary practice of self-defence not to leave any space to the fascist vanguard. It is increasingly urgent to act against fascists and organized racism – which also counts on police’s support.
