The last message of Italian anarchist, antifascist and YPG International volunteer Lorenzo Orsetti aka “Orso Dellatullo” who has been confirmed killed in Baghouzi. ISIS uploaded pictures of his body and ID cards.
‘Hi, if you are reading this message it is a sign that I am no longer in this world. Well, don’t worry too much, I’m fine with that; I have no regrets, I died doing what I thought was right, defending the weakest and remaining faithful to my ideals of justice, equality and freedom.
So, despite this untimely demise, my life is still a success and I am almost certain that I left with a smile on my face. I couldn’t have asked for better ..
I wish you all the best possible and I hope that one day (if you have not already done so) you decide to give your life for the next, because this is the only way to change the world.
Only by overcoming individualism and selfishness in each of us can we make a difference.
These are difficult times, I know, but don’t give in to resignation, don’t give up hope; never! Not even for a moment.
Even when everything seems lost, and the ills afflict the man and the earth seem insurmountable, try to find the strength and to infuse it in your companions.
And always remember that “every storm starts with a single drop”. Try to be that drop.
I love you all, I hope you will learn from these words.
