11.06.18: A group of libertarian compañerxs gathered outside the North Male Prison (ReNo) to await the release of Fernando Bárcenas after four years and six months of imprisonment, accused of torching a Christmas tree of the Coca-Cola company during a demonstration against the rise of public transport (metro) fares.

The release of Fernando took place after he was notified (this afternoon) in court that his process was cancelled and that the file folder was going to be deleted.

It should be noted that his release did not follow the protocol that exists for other prisoners; the director of the prison went to the auditorium to warn him that he had to leave, taking him to the legal area and immediately releasing him.

Family and friends gathered until midnight celebrating his freedom with the symbolic burning of his prison uniform and shouting slogans against prisons.
