Italy: “Prometeo” operation – Update of February 20, 2020
On February 14th, the notice of conclusion of the preliminary investigation for the repressive operation called Prometeo (“Prometheus”) that led to the arrest of Natascia, Robert and Beppe was served (for all previous updates you can see this link). After 20 days from the notification, the prosecutor will evaluate how to proceed and will set a preliminary hearing.
Yesterday’s news, however, that the request for house arrest as an alternative to custody in prison, submitted by Natascia’s lawyers, was unfortunately rejected. The lawyers will have until 28 February to challenge the rejection and appeal.
