Basta servitù militari!
Quarta tappa del tour verso il #16Gennaio2017
Nella sera delle elezioni americane, in cui i cittadini Usa devono scegliere tra Trump e Clinton, il popolo No Dal Molin ha deciso di dare la propria risposta alla presenza delle servitù militari a Vicenza. Indipendentemente da chi vincerà la corsa alla Casa Bianca, la richiesta dei manifestanti è la stessa: che l’esercito Usa se ne vada dal territorio e che le servitù militari siano demolite.
I No Dal Molin hanno circondato le recinzioni della base militare con una passeggiata popolare e in centinaia hanno sfilato con pentole e fischietti per farsi sentire dall’interno della base. Poi, hanno lanciato fuochi d’artificio all’interno della base e la polizia ha risposto lanciando decine di lacrimogeni contro i cittadini che da più di dieci anni si battono per una terra libera dalla presenza militare Usa.
Questa serata è un’altra tappa del percorso che porterà al 16 gennaio 2017: a dieci anni dal sì del governo Prodi al Dal Molin gli attivisti no war vogliono portare in piazza tutte le contraddizioni del territorio che abitano, dalla guerra alle grandi opere, dalla finanza al lavoro.
Italy: On the night of USA elections, when USA citizens have to choose between Trump and Clinton, No Dal Molin activists chose to give their answer to the presence of USA military bases in the territory of Vicenza. No matter who will win the elections, the request of demonstrators is the same: the USA army must leave the territory and military servitude must be destroyed. Hundreds of activists walked around the fencing of the base with whistles and pots to be heard out. Then they threw fireworks inside the base and the police responded with teargas: these people have been fighting for ten years against USA military zones in the territory. This is one of the steps that will lead to the 16th of January: ten years after the approval of the government for Dal Molin base, no war activists want to show all the contradictions of the territory they live in, from war to major public works, from finance to work.
