8 years ago on September 4th, 2009, the Bundeswehr committed a massacre against the local civilian population in Kunduz, Afghanistan, by bombarding two tankers that had previously been stolen from the US-American air force. 100 civilians were killed. The commander of the so-called Provincial Reconstruction Team of the Bundeswehr, Colonel Georg Klein, is responsible for this operation. No only did he escape prosecution for this war crime, but the investigation was dropped after a year by the federal prosecutor. In 2013, Klein was even promoted to the rank of Brigadier General and is now in charge of the entire Bundesweher training area as ‘Managing Director of the Federal Office for Personnel Management of the Bundeswehr’.
While the murderers are allowed to climb up the career ladder, fugitives from Afghanistan are being deported again, in pick-up transports, which also depart from Munich Airport.
