In Silivri 9 closed prison vegan anarchist prisoner Osman Evcan is starting a new hunger strike as a protest against Eid al-Adha, the Muslim Festival of Sacrifice during which thousands of animals are slaughtered every year.
His hunger strike will start on the first day of the genocide feast and it will continue for three days.
Osman Evcan is a committed vegan and anarchist who has consistently opposed animal exploitation and slaughter. In prison he has gone on hunger strike several times previously for the right to maintain a vegan diet which has resulted in him being subject to repression and arbitrary transfers.
Until every animal cage has been liberated
