Anarchist prisoner Şevket Aslan has ended his hunger strike on the 53rd day after prison authorities agreed to his demands. Şevket began an irreversible hunger strike on July 19th to demand that he be recognized as a political prisoner and be transferred to a unit where other political prisoners are held. Şevket is currently recovering in the prison hospital ward and will be transferred to the political prisoner unit when he has recovered.
