Today we demand freedom for Jock Palfreeman, and we declare that racism will never win! For today is the International Day of Solidarity with Antifascist Prisoners.
Jock is currently serving 20 years in a Bulgarian prison because he dared to defend two Romas in a racially motivated gang attack in Sofia, and trying to defend himself in the process. We demand his immediate release, and we demand a world free from racism and prejudice.
In jail Jock has provided free legal advice to other prisoners, he has gone on hunger strike in protest of conditions and treatment of prisoners, and we want him to know that we have not forgotten about the struggle of prisoners or his own personal plight.
