Greece: 4 refugees on hunger strike at Ritsona ‘accommodation’ center against closed borders

In the ”accommodation” center for refugees in Ritsona, there are already four hunger-strikers for whom nothing has been announced by the managers of the concentration camp. Three men are on the second day of the hunger strike while one is already on day four. During the quick chat we had with them, they stated:

”We come from a country that is in war. Our main purpose was to go to Europe. We have been placed somewhere that even animals won’t be able to survive. We decided to stage a hunger-strike and to declare we ‘ll stop only when the borders are open. We have the support of all refugees detained in Ritsona.”
