17:00 Launch

17:15-18:30 Digging up the greek responsibility. The national revolution and antisemitism, 1760-1864

A history of the greek state, a history of the jews in the greek state, a history of antisemitism. The first one is written by nationalist historians. We need to dig, to read between the lines, to be suspicious against mainstream interpretations. The second one, the history of jews, does not even exist. Just a handful of non-jewish academics have ever dealt with that ‘strange fruit’. The third one, the history of antisemitism, do not even bother to ask. It does not exist because apparently in greece ‘there are no minorities’ and likewise ‘there is no racism’! All these will be discussed from an anti-state and antifascist point of view.

presented by: 0151, http://0151.espivblogs.net/

0151 is an antifascist zine against greek reality, written and distributed by individuals and groups thrice a year since 2013.

We will also refer to our book editions, the new site we have and the arabic edition of the newspaper. Finally, we are going to focus on the importance and need of the specific project and other diy means of information, as a tool of the radical movents at the current political scene in the Balkan region and further more.

20:00-21:30  Antipolitika – anarchist journal from the balkans. Presentation of the first issue about Antimilitarism

Antipolitika is a new anarchist bilingual journal (with issues in English and Serbo-Croat) initiated by comrades from Belgrade and Zagreb, but with an idea to involve more people from the Balkans and other places. We came to the conclusion that in the northern Balkans the anarchist/anti-authoritarian perspectives are not very developed and differentiated from the leftist ones. This is an attempt to develop an anarchist/anti-authoritarian perspective, as a reflection of our practice, and in that way to help develop the movement in Balkans. Antipolitika will have topical issues with contributions from individuals and groups from the Balkans and beyond. At the 10th Balkan Anarchist Bookfair, we will present the English language version of our first issue. The theme of the first issue is Anti-militarism.

21:30-23:00 Western Left and media politics of Russia in context of war in Ukraine

In the recent years, Russia has invested massive amounts in media and activist groups that would represent its perspective and support its politics in the West. Now Russia is reaping some fruit. A wide range of leftist and even anarchist groups became a mouthpiece for distributing the propaganda of the Russian state. Russia sometimes seems to fulfill the hopes of all the political spectre – from leftists to ultraconservatives, from antifa to traditional fascists… How is this possible? What narratives are used and which of them are the most attractive? What does it all have to do with the history of WWII, Antifascism, Cold War and modern media-colonialism?

17:00-17:30 NoBorder Camp 2016, Thessaloniki, July 15-24

Migrants moving from Africa and the Middle East towards Europe have challenged and fought against borders and national and supranational policies in practice. During the last months, hundreds of thousands of populations have crossed borders, and the movements for solidarity and emancipation are flourishing. The migrants’ movement with all its inventiveness and ingenuity proves that desires, social relationships and dreams cannot be imprisoned. In the last few months, immigrants and people in solidarity with them have met within and beyond the kaleidoscopic fields opened by the crisis. We believe that meetings and struggles should be encouraged, should acquire steady and lasting structures and reinvent companionship and sharing. For so many reasons, we think it’s crucial that we organize an international No Border Camp in Thessaloniki.

17:30-19:30 The experience of Orfanotrofeio squat – from self-organized housing structures to communities of solidarity and struggle

Orfanotrofio was occupied in December 5, 2015, immediately after the border was blocked to most people wanting to cross. European States made a first distinction back then and suddenly only treated the Syrians, Iraqis and Afghanis as “legal”. Of course, when the governments decided to, this changed, and soon everyone was “illegal”. These are the same governments, the same States, the same regime that participates in wars, killing and impoverishment, and chooses to keep the borders of Europe full of corpses. We needed, and still need, to create a free space for migrants. A space free of the State and its police, with no army, free of repression, free of “charity” NGOs and free of humiliation. More importantly we needed, and still need to create a space free of all racism, fascism, exploitation and violence. A space of solidarity, respect and care, which is a precondition for resistance and struggle to be real, long-term and effective. It is a precondition for survival.

19:30-21:30 Targeted Populations

The event will be about presenting the book: “Targeted Populations – militarism / state of emergency / war doctrines / humanitarianism / immigrants. The example of Lesvos.” Discussion will follow around the issues that arise. The aforementioned publication is a result co-created by the teams of Initiative for Total Army Objection and Group against Detention Centers, Musaferat, regarding the immigration issue and its militarized management.

22:00 Theatrical act “TSIRIADA, a comicepos”

After the institution of injustice, our Tsiri ancestor, in order to avoid weeping, started to laugh and tries to make fellow humans laugh too. However, those who watch him rather weep than laugh. Maybe they understand that the comic’s mask is made of the fragments of injustice.

Inspired by the troubadour tradition, through songs and stories, Tsiritsantsoules narrate the histoy of our kind: fools, comics, clowns, jesters. As popular theater guerrila artists we get our stories from the myths and folk traditions to talk about the eternal fight between justice and injustice and the hopes of the peoples of the world for freedom and justice.

This anthology of texts by anarchist women from all over the world spanning the 19th to the 20th centuries offers important insights into the depth of their analysis, as well as the political initiatives taken by women at significant historical moments. Chinese or American, Jewish or French, seamstresses or teachers, soap-vendors or publishers or both, these women addressed their subject matter in a way that transcends bourgeois feminism, liberal human rights discourses and identity politics. [G. 1)  Antifascist Action in Ioannina (2007-2014)

The recent history (2007-2014) of the antifascist movement in the city of Ioannina seen through an exhibition of posters, photographs and audio-visual material.

Since we were kids we’ve learnd that history is the one and only that is teached at school and is written in the intellectuals’ books. A history dιscolored from any form of class war. The group of “enantia sti lithi” (against oblivion) aims to contradict this view of history and to create a version of it using the tool of class analysis. A version that will help us hold into our memories the defeats and the victories of the antiauthoritarian movement.
